Privacy Policy

Last updated: November 1, 2026

Terrible Lizards Field Guide is a static guide site. There are no accounts, no comment system, and no reader submissions that are published without review. The sections below explain what is collected when you read a page.

Hosting logs

Pages are served by Cloudflare. Like most hosting providers, Cloudflare processes request data such as IP address, browser type, requested URL, and timestamps to deliver content and protect the site from abuse. That data is handled under Cloudflare's own privacy terms and is not used by this site to identify readers.

Analytics

The site uses Google Analytics 4 to see which guides are read and which pages fail to answer a question. GA4 may set cookies and collect a truncated IP address, device information, referral source, and interaction events. You can block analytics with a browser extension or privacy setting; the guides remain readable.

Advertising

The site may display advertising through Adsterra and other third-party networks. Ad servers can set cookies or similar identifiers to limit repeat impressions and measure performance. These cookies are controlled by the ad network, not by this site. If you do not want personalized advertising, use your browser's cookie controls or an ad blocker.

Messages

If you email a correction, the message and your email address are used only to reply and, when relevant, to fix the page. Corrections are not published with your contact details.

Changes

This policy may be updated when the site adds a new analytics or advertising service. The date at the top of the page shows the current version. Questions can be sent to [email protected].
